than pleased with the excellent service we received. Philippe the
electrician is a clean and tidy worker. Is happy to assist in all
electrical jobs so long as they are safe. If you have ideas which are
unsafe he will certainly tell you, but, is quick to offer you a safe
solution to your problems or situations. He was more than helpful in some
other little DIY tasks which we were having difficulties with. Marc his
partner is a fluent English speaker. His friendly manner and helpful
nature was very welcome. We are grateful to Marc for all the translating
and telephone calls he made for us when we move into this property. French
tradesmen get a bad press sometimes especially on 'make over' programmes
on UK TV, we were so relieved to find a company which could prove them
wrong. Certainly for us, these two men were a great find. Should you wish
for further clarification, do not hesitate to get in touch."

SPECIALISTS "After purchasing a property in rural France, and speaking English only, I knew I was up against an almost impossible task on renovating a shell of a barn into an atelier/domicile. The Village House came to my rescue. Both proprietors speak French and English AND were well acquainted with all the contractors and artisans of the area. Not only did they draw up concise plans but they also saw through the bids, schedules, necessary papers/permits and perfect execution of said designs. In their hands, whether I was abroad or in resident, I knew all was going well and to schedule...and within budget! Their aesthetics are such that I didn't hesitate to let them make decisions if any plan changes occurred. My project is nearly finished. We called upon Jean-Maurice and John to work us out of new plans. They offered us two, we chose one of them and a lot of works were then planned. They also made sure that the budget (which was very tight) was respected. The result of these works is tremendous, we are wholly satisfied of what they offered us, they showed professionalism and are always very available to answer all our questions. They took into account our wishes and needs, our tastes and our budget and have produced a result that fits us perfectly down to the last details of finishes and decorations. PROPERTY MAINTENANCE & POOLS
"I had a massive
problem with my pool. It was not being maintained properly by my well
meaning neighbour and the result on my last visit was a thick green soup
that I wouldn't dare swim in! A friend recommended Jason and Lorna at Ja-Lo's

intercession I jokingly suggested that they could use them as an example

I purchased my property in
Marseillan France with little knowledge of the French language. I was
worried about finding a French tradesperson to renovate my property with
new bathrooms, kitchens etc as I wanted to be able to ask lots of
questions if needed and be able to understand the responses! I can
certainly say that David and his small team granted every wish of ours,
being honest, reliable, efficient, cheaper than all the other quotes I
had and work completed was to perfection. David stated to me that he was
a perfectionist at the beginning of the project, and now I believe it!
My house looks beautiful. They were so helpful and as we changed our
mind about things David was never impatient and never rushed us. Instead
he gave great advice that normally saved us money (unlike others I have
used in the UK) My wife and I are very happy and will be using David for
